MST & TAMC Hosts SURF! Transit Fair & Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 10th in Marina

Monterey-Salinas Transit, along with project partner Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC), will host a SURF! Transit Fair and Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 10th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Marina Transit Exchange (280 Reservation Road, Marina, 93933).

SURF! is a 6-mile bus-only route that will run through Marina to Sand City/Seaside along the underutilized and publicly owned rail corridor. The project will give transit riders a faster trip, alleviate traffic, provide two new safe and convenient transit stops, and improve bicycle and pedestrian paths. SURF! integrates with existing transit lines, and will help connect residents and visitors to jobs, healthcare, education, recreation, and more.

The SURF! line will reduce commute trips by up to 16 minutes by using a dedicated bus lane and utilizing zero-emission buses that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  Guests can participate in games and activities, win prizes, meet with subject matter experts from MST and project partners, and provide valuable input on the latest SURF! design features. Join the conversation around SURF! and help shape the future of transit in Monterey County.
