Caltrans Provides Update on Highway 1/Rat Creek Washout
Currently there is no safe access for vehicles, bicyclists or pedestrians through the Highway 1/Rat Creek washout. The slide area has been secured, heavy equipment is being mobilized and engineering crews continue doing damage assessment and monitoring up and downslopes for potential further instability and movement.
